Hurricane Hermine is the first hurricane the Gulf has seen in over 1,000 days and Florida residents are bracing for it to make landfall. Locals are prepping for 75 mph winds, rip currents and heavy rain.
Hurricane Hermine is moving swiftly toward Florida’s Big Bend area and eastern Panhandle with maximum sustained winds of 75 mph.
Landfall is expected near Apalachicola late Thursday evening and expected to move along the east coast hitting Georgia and the Carolinas.
